I completed the T100 Triathlon in a full tuxedo and became the youngest competitor to finish the event.
After months of training, fundraising and preparation, I finally crossed the finish line.
The tuxedo was uncomfortable, impractical and made every part of the race more difficult, but that was the point. I wanted to create a memorable challenge that would encourage people to support Alzheimer’s Society in memory of my grandma, Aziza Khatun.
Thank you to everyone who donated, supported me and helped make this challenge possible.

RUN IN TUXEDO
I’m doing this in memory of my grandmother, who suffered with Alzheimer’s, dementia and cancer.
That has made the whole journey much more meaningful than I expected.
This is not just about finishing a race. It is about doing something difficult, memorable and personal for someone who meant a lot to me.
The tuxedo is the bit people notice.
The reason behind it is the bit that matters.
Training for the T100 has introduced me to a completely new world of endurance sport.
It has pushed me physically, mentally, and occasionally made me question whether formalwear and triathlon were ever supposed to meet.
But it has also made me fall in love with endurance racing.
I now hope to keep building from this and eventually compete in Ironman events.
One of the best parts of the journey has been the support I’ve received.
I’ve managed to fundraise nearly all of my kit through sponsors, brands, friends and local companies, which has shown me how generous people can be when they believe in what you’re doing.
Every bit of support has helped turn this from a slightly mad idea into something real.
